Kuroi's ears flew back instantly as the colt approached her all too quickly. She was startled, but she didn't want to harm him. So she bowed her head and stepped past him, revealing herself to the mare and the stallion. "Forgive me," she said. "I didn't mean to intrude. I was just so fascinated with the little ones. I couldn't tear myself away." In fact, she was remember ing a colt she had been drawn to in her herd before she was forced out. She kept her eyes down, trying to seem as polite as possible.

_{the mare was startled by the company of the mare and skittered before collecting herself and snorted softly. the colt at her side snorted and tossed a buck before hiding behind his mother. he whinnied worriedly at his brother.

the bay colt snorted and bobbed his head, moving to the side as the mare passed, and trotting after her, then passing and residing at azula's side. azula snorted and nuzzled the two colts that were at her side. she stepped towards the stud and gently nudged him before smiling at the mare.

"hello. i am azula. the bay colt is castano and the little one is naranja." she said motioning to the two colts who were now rearing and playing together. soon their activity died down and they walked over and nursed.}

Kuroi dipped her head in greeting. "My name is Kuroi. It means black. I am herdless and I was roaming for a while. I am terribly sorry to intrude on you and your colts." Turning to the stallion, she said, "I hope you can forgive me for tresspassing on your territory. I didn't mean any harm, and, as I said, I have no herd following me."

She looked at the bay colt, Castano, and thought about how much he reminded her of the colts from her former herd. If only she had been able to stay there long enough to really get to know one of them. Maybe she would be able to get to know one of these colts.

As she thought to herself, unknowingly, she thingyed her head slightly to one side so that it looked more like she was sizing up the colt. With a snort, she tossed her head and turned to leave. She would never be close to any horse, especially not a male. Was it not her own father who had driven her away?
